“The Board of Directors, staff, and members of People Oakland are extremely grateful to the Staunton Farm Foundation for providing funding to Peoples Oakland Programs in the Park “POPP”. Thank you for your contribution over the years and most recently, your generosity and support will allow us to continue to strengthen the lives of those affected by mental illness.

To Our Peoples Oakland Community,

Peoples Oakland is continuing to monitor the latest updates regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) from the Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and World Health Organization (WHO). In response to the recommendations made by these public health organizations, we have made the decision to suspend all face-to-face programming until further notice.

We have made this decision in order to reduce potential pathways for the spread of COVID-19 within our community. These measures are in force until further notice. We will restore programming as soon as we are able to under the guidance of the CDC and ACHD.

For the duration that our building is closed and face-to-face services are suspended, counselors will be available by phone during our regular operating hours. You can expect to hear from us regularly throughout the duration of our closing. Counselor availability will vary, but you may also call the Re:solve Crisis Network’s 24-hour hotline at 1-888-796-8226 to speak with a clinician if needed.

We are here for you. Stay safe!
